We Are Community

We are travelers, vagabonds, and nomads.
We are 6, of a certain age, and 4 little ones that keep us young…
Exploration, discovery and freedom are old friends.
We are 4 countries.
Our paths crossed in an unlikely place (as many life changing places are!)…each of us perhaps
wondering where we might move on to next
Then, we asked ourselves an extraordinary question: what if we grow some roots and let our wings
rest for awhile?
What if we plant some seeds and help them grow?
What if we stop, breathe, and take our lives in a direction that makes sense?
What if our next journey is discovering our Humanity, and learning how to live in a Community?
Sometimes, our wings might be antsy and want to fly…but perhaps we will see that the craziest, most
meaningful trip is growing our roots. Together.
We are gardeners, cooks, bakers and eaters
We are musicians, flashdancers, teachers, and students
We are photographers, painters, and woodworkers
We are yogis, meditators, farmers, and organizers
We are cyclists, sailors, poets and marathoners
We are mothers, fathers, kids and siblings
We are dreamers, we are realists
We are resisters, we are community.
